Gilson Connect: Supporting the Biotherapy Industry

Gilson is always looking for strategic partnerships to expand and learn how to support our customers better. Our recent connection with the French government has given us the opportunity to develop collaborations with French institutes and companies focused on state-of-the-art therapies. Here are two examples of what we have been working on with our partners.

Supporting Biotherapies and Bioproduction in France

The French government’s “Innovative Biotherapy and Bioproduction France 2030” initiative has opened doors for us to support scientific teams with our liquid handling and connected, tracking solutions. Mikael Amsellem, Director of Business Transformation, and Tiphaine De Jouvencel, Sr. Category Manager Emerging Solutions, are working on developing multiple collaborations.

A Collaboration with the French National Blood Bank

Since April 2022, we have been collaborating with the EFS (French National Blood bank) Platform for Innovation in Biotherapies. The collaboration provides the EFS unit with access to the Gilson portfolio of connected solutions and application experts. EFS has leveraged TRACKMAN® Connected to streamline protocols, reinforce traceability, and improve the repeatability of highly innovative processes within their day-to-day workflows.

Our Partnership with Syngoi Technologies

Another example is our partnership with Syngoi Technologies. This company perfectly illustrates how Gilson’s presence can benefit a new segment in the industry. Syngoi is a newly created biotechnology company that produces synthetic DNA sequences of interest through a proprietary enzymatic process. The process is scalable and allows for customizable manufacturing under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions. Their teams now use Gilson connected solutions to enforce the traceability and repeatability of their quality control protocols.

In September of 2022, Gilson attended the Innovative Therapies Days ITD2022 in Besançon, France, to develop business in this new segment.

Gilson Connect – Connected Devices for More Productive Research
